Placement Reflection

As a future educator, a major thing for me during my time at my placement sites was stepping out of my comfort zone.  I tend to be a shy person and hard to warm up in settings that I am unfamiliar, but I was able to throw myself out there and be comfortable.  In order to do this I told myself that I cant be shy and to myself in the field after graduation, and that this would be the perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and warm up in a new setting faster.  Through doing this I was able to learn that I can do it, and step out of my bubble and put myself out there.  Through being at my sites, it has allowed me to first hand see what its like to work in a kindergarten class, day care centre, and nursery school.  I was able to learn different ways of approaching situations or techniques through observing all different hosts that I had, as well as all the children I got to work with.
